Epoxy Garage Floors in Cape Coral & Fort Myers

Garage floors are the work we do most. Taylord Epoxy is brother-owned, and the same two people who quote your garage grind it, coat it, and walk it with you at the end.

What a Taylord garage floor includes

Every garage floor coating we install starts with mechanical preparation, not an acid wash. The slab is profiled with industrial diamond grinders so the coating bonds into the concrete rather than sitting on top of it, then cracks, pits, and spalls are filled and leveled before any color goes down.

  • Diamond grinding of the full slab, including edges and corners
  • Crack, pit, and spall repair
  • Primer and pigmented base coat
  • Decorative flake broadcast or hand-worked metallic finish
  • High-build clear topcoat for gloss and chemical resistance
  • Site cleanup, final walkthrough, and floor care instructions

Finishes for Southwest Florida garages

Solid color is the clean, uniform option. Decorative flake is the most requested garage finish because the broadcast layer adds grip and hides dust and tire marks between cleanings. Metallic is the showpiece: pigment hand-worked into swirls under a high-gloss topcoat.

Heat, humidity, and UV exposure all factor into the system we specify. Coatings that behave in a dry northern garage are not always the right call for a Cape Coral or Fort Myers slab, which is why we choose the system after we see the concrete.

Garage floor pricing

A basic 2-car garage flake floor starts at $2,000 and a basic 3-car garage flake floor starts at $3,000. These are starting prices — final pricing depends on square footage, the condition of your slab, and the finish you choose.

Pricing is quoted from square footage, slab condition, and finish, so your number comes from your project rather than a menu. On-site estimates are free across Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and the surrounding communities.

Caring for the floor

Sweeping and rinsing or mopping is enough for routine care. No waxing, no harsh strippers. We walk you through maintenance during the final walkthrough so the finish keeps its gloss.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an epoxy garage floor take to install?

+

Most residential garages are a multi-day process: prep and repair on day one, coating next, then cure time before you drive on it. You get the exact schedule with your written estimate.

Do I need to move everything out of the garage?

+

Yes. The slab has to be completely clear so it can be ground, repaired, and coated edge to edge. We confirm what needs to move during the estimate.

What does an epoxy garage floor cost?

+

A basic 2-car garage flake floor starts at $2,000 and a basic 3-car garage flake floor starts at $3,000. These are starting prices — final pricing depends on square footage, the condition of your slab, and the finish you choose.

Can you coat a garage slab that is cracked or stained?

+

Usually, yes. Crack and spall repair is part of normal prep. If a slab has a moisture or structural issue that makes coating a bad idea, we tell you instead of taking the job.
